Needed: Bums in the gallery seats next Monday, Barrie city hall

Councillor Alex Nuttall will deliver a motion to Barrie, ON city council opposing the closing of Springwater Provincial Park by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources on October 29, 2012 at 7 pm.

The executive of the Springwater Park Citizens’ Coalition and noted Barrie historian and educator, Mr. Val Brucker, had an extremely productive meeting with Mr. Nuttall yesterday.

Mr. Nuttall represents Ward 10 and should be commended in writing for this.

We need lots of kiddos, parents, teachers, veterans: everyone who doesn’t want the park to close. Handmade signs are more than welcomed.

Take the chance to sign the petition and email update list and talk with other SPCC volunteers.

  1. Stephanie Burton says:

Great initiative by Mr Nuttal- what a gorgeous piece of property that should remain as is. It is a wonderful part of so many people’s history and would be a crime if future generations are not allowed the same experiences. Our area has already lost far too much land. More retail centres and housing complexes do not equal ‘progress’!!!
