On Bayfield Street in Springwater Township, just south of Alex Currie’s truck centre.
They [Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry] have just let the buildings fall apart. For letting this beautiful park decay such as this, they ought to be ashamed of themselves.
The park is falling into rack and ruin because of the neglect by the ministry. There is no excuse for this and to many locals who have fond memories of this park this is not at all acceptable.
Please, your ministry must immediately form a committee that will work, with community support, to reopen this beautiful park before it is completely ruined.
Friend of Springwater Park
It is true that the Canadian and Ontario flags no longer fly at the park just for now.
I’d be a shame to rush and allow the 192 has of land to be flipped for the profit of the few large landowners (residential andor government).
I think Mr. Garner is mistaken about the park being uncared for.
The signs are there that people care: spring, summer, winter, and fall.
Come out and judge for yourself on this beautiful Labour Day weekend.
